Did anyone hear the helicopter flying around Pershing Elementary? I heard it say all units turn around and return to the school but that was all I heard and then a few mins later it flew away.

And I was wondering if a "ghetto" bird was a new bird species...never heard that description before. :P

Sounds derogatory to me. I won't be teaching my kid that "nickname".

I don't see anything about it on the Sac PD website. Could you tell what kind of helicopter it was?

Nah... it's a common name used in areas that have a large ghetto bird population and is not considered derogatory by those that live there. Not that it matters... your kid will learn all the fun nicknames of things from friends, not you. The minute you use it, they will stop and find some new derogatory term. ;)

Yep, I never used that term either and have no plans adding it to my vernacular.

Who's Nancy and why are you making fun of her son?
