Please note how the wiretap fiasco has disappeared from the news.  this diversion worked for a bit while the GOP sprung its TrumpCare plan on everyone.  An early look indicates that a fairly large number of people will lose their insurance under the new plan.  But universal healthcare has never been part of the GOP agenda.  Just wondering how many Trump voters will lose their coverage.

And how's that wall doing?  Any progress?

I think the NSA might pop your progressive, liberal, MSM sanctioned, alternate truth bubble........?   But you have "ignored" anybody who can fight back with real facts and educated accordingly, smarter than you in fields that you don't understand, so you won't see this I am thinking...? Socialist, progressive cowards like you can't handle the truth.    Coward....!   But yet you claim to be a "journalist" so I understand somewhat, that puts you out in left field for sure, "journalist" to me means left wing propaganda puppet.  You can't take criticism or alternate opinions.   Just the way you are.....  Your way, the "approved" opinion per the MSM or it does not get asked, does not get published.   Carry on.....   You look like a fool though when you don't listen to the other side....   Just saying.   But go ahead, live in your own universe where everything is ok and all is safe.  You are in your "safe room" on this forum and I hope you feel comfortable there, where nobody questions you.....?   Chris

"journalist" to me means left wing propaganda puppet.

Sheesh,how pathetic!!

The obvious problem here is that professional journalists have standards of conduct, a dedication to the truth, and a broad-ranging education; something the Alt-Right loud-mouths fear and avoid.

Sure, if you want to live in Dog Patch USA and and deny the merits of progressive Western civilization, go ahead.

But it's MY COUNTRY too, and I won't be lead, dissuaded, or compromised by sheer ignorance.

FORTUNATELY, I have faith in the intelligence of the American people, especially as it showed up today
in the major Trump defeat of trying to trash Obamacare -  A progressive program that helps all Americans,

added millions of people onto health care plans and saved billions of dollars by reducing the number of

people who use public Emergency Rooms for their primary health care. That ER cost is about 10 times

the expense of working with medical coverage. Go figure.

If you think healthcare should be in the hands of Govt and not the free market with competition to keep prices and costs down, then you don't understand Economics 101. Go back to school. Or did you even go to school? ?

Vinney, since the 1960's "journalists" have been 93% left wing and left wing propagandists, democratic party donors, do you really think that you have gotten the truth...?  You have not, not since then.  They covered for Kennedy since he was a dem, all those affairs, his weakness, and that he managed to squeak by not starting a nuclear war and then removed those missiles from Turkey a few months later.......!  Nope, not in the press.......?   Wake up and take a good long look in the mirror.  You are not the party of the people.   You are not what you say you are, inclusive, tolerant, liberal, understanding, righteous........   None of the above.  You are corrupt and do not serve the people, and America knows that.   That is why Trump is your President.  Chris

Vinny - from my perspective, the failure of the GOP bill is part of a larger tragedy.  No doubt there are problems with the ACA, and no doubt the GOP bill proposed this week did not address them.  The whole mess illustrates our government's complete inability to govern.  this should be of great concern to everyone, but I fear it's not.

One other piece of news that dovetails into this - An upcoming study (Harvard/Univ of Melbourne) shows that 30% of millennials don't think it's essential to live in a democracy.  I suspect it's because they see that our version of democracy is NOT working.

Great post.  Unfortunately, many of the millennial brainwashed by our media and public schools have never been to, studied about or talked to people from countries running the socialist utopia. Ask them why so many people from other countries want to come here... the self-loathing from the leftists has dug deep into our national psyche. That is one reason Trump was elected. We were sick of being told what an evil empire, racist, misogynist, non-exceptional country we were.

As one who has actually experienced the wonders of East Germany, I wish ALL young people could travel. I think their ideas about cultural relativism might change a bit.

Joe - I agree all around.

Many Americans who lived through, or at least saw the foibles of non-democratic living during the 20th century, are dying off.  disappearing from our society.  And the lessons they learned haven't been transferred to younger generations.

I did a piece a few years back on primary education (in Colorado) and how things being taught affect peoples' ability to operate in the business world later in life.  To my surprise, both history and civics classes were vastly underrepresented in most public school course lists.  This foundational ignorance may be the basis for many millennial attitudes today.  But the opposite was true in most private schools, where both history and civics were required in 9-12 education.  One result I noted - the private school graduates were measurably more successful later in life.

The Harvard study underscores one of the basic disconnects between capitalism and the welfare of Americans.
Something like universal healthcare is better served by socialist ideals, not profit motive.

The American system is really a mix of socialist and capitalist ideas patched together.

Certainly, in this past week we see that Trump has learned Pogo's lesson.
Now he's attacking the far right (Freedom Caucus) - the very people who spearheaded his election.

HE *SHOULD* CALL-OUT THE FREEDOM CAUCUS IF THEIR RIGIDITY IS GOING TO PREVENT HIM FROM DOING GOOD THINGS FOR AMERICA. HE HAS AN AGENDA, AND THE MAJORITY OF THE COUNTRY SUPPORTS IT.

ELECTIONS HAVE CONSEQUENCES. DON'T LIKE IT, THEN WIN AN ELECTION.

Rex Tillersson said "it was up to the Syrian people to decide President Bashar Assad’s future." Thereby giving a nod of approval both to Assad and Russia in that devastating war.

A few days later we see a gas attack against civilians. Now, at least one Senator, Marco Rubio sees a connection.
Tillerson has no political experience.  Amateur show.  :BOO:

No thoughts on Susan Rice yet Vinny....?   You and CNN seem to be ignoring the actual facts while you chase Russian ghosts around....?   You still have found nothing, no facts, but yet you ignore the Susan Rice story....?   Oh, and talk about Russian connections....!   John Podesta, you seem to leave him out of your Russian connection witch hunt...?   Could it be that he worked for Hillary that makes you not recall....?

Podesta hasn’t explained where 1000’s of Russia-connected shares went

http://www.trunews.c...ted-shares-went

John Podesta, the former presidential campaign chairman for Hillary Clinton’s 2016 run, has yet to respond to what he did with 41,000 shares he received when he was on the board of directors for a company backed to the Russian government.  “Your letter does not respond to the substance of the article, which concerns the whereabouts of 75,000 shares of stock in Joule that Mr. Podesta was entitled to receive,” The Daily Caller News Foundation’s publisher, Neil Patel, said. “The fact that Mr. Podesta, a senior national political figure, apparently sat on the board of Joule with Russian state-owned entities only elevates the importance of this matter.”

Vinny - Maybe Tillerson should watch that TV show "Madam Secretary" on Sunday nights.  It's very well written and might give him some clues on how to be a Secretary of State.  At this point, you are correct - he's a total amateur show.
