Ownership has recently changed and so has the service ! The manager told me Elton and Claire Carlomagno sold the shop a month ago.I brought my Dodge Diesel pickup in for a smog test and it failed for monitors not being set so after the 3rd attempt my monitors were set but the  mechanic working on it set a check engine light by plugging in his computer to check things so it failed again. At this point I wanted to talk to the owner ! The manager told me the new owner Amir has less than 6 months knowledge in the automotive industry so I was better off talking to him ! I also found out the shop is no longer Smog Star Certified which means they cant even smog half the cars out there. I also wanted to change my oil on my wife's car with good oil like Castrol but they dont sell good oil ! They use cheap oil and filters like you can buy at Walmart or Jiffy lube ! Good luck people paying higher prices at this shop thinking your getting quality parts and service ! I just wanted to let the community know what some of the changes that are going on over there !

We are still getting the ads with Elton on them. You are talking about the one at 520 Natoma Station Drive???

I haven't been there for 4-5 years.

A VETERAN Whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America" for an amount "up to and including their life". That is HONOR, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it. -Author unknown-

Go Navy yes I am talking about that location at 520 Natoma  Station Dr !

They are still posting the ads with the Elton on them so customers wont know that shop has new owners !

Different people are now the new owners and have about 6 month or less knowledge in the automotive industry !

Once new people start running that shop im sure youll see a decline in customer service and quality changes !

What does their ethnicity have to do with it?

Bring your own oil and filter of your choice ask them the labor and disposal fee.  Give them a chance.   Their personnel will include someone with years of experience as time goes on.    The application and transfers of smog permits with the state take time.   If your vehicle has check engine lights there is something wrong with your vehicle.

Please explain.

A check engine light can sometimes be just a loose gas cap, but I wouldn't ignore it if it came on because it could be something more serious.

A check engine light is an automatic failure at a Smog Station.    The check engine light is on........... there is a problem.     Reset the system and drive car for about 75 miles and give a smog test a try with no lights and do not forget to check the gas cap.

There is probably an explaination to your Dodge PU Diesel monitors not being set.    Check engine lights reset earlier or battery disconnected previously.   The vehicle has to be driven awhile (about 75 miles) for the computer to cycle through.  If it is too early,  the smog person will tell you to  drive the car for awhile and return.      Another explaination could be the smog machine picked up  another issue that does not luminate your dash check engine light.    My Mercedes has an issue right now that does not light instrument panel check engine but shows up on the test equipment.

Is your Dodge's Check engine light the fuel tank/evap. system?    I had to get my late Father in law's Dodge Hemi truck ready for sale but it had a check engine with the fuel tank.  I ended up having to drop the tank and was a big job.   The job was a success but would not do it again.
