The Nugget in the Pocket has wine tasting on Friday nights, we used to go often. The kids would get a cupcake or something and draw at the tables while we met friends there.

For those of you who have been to one of these Nugget Markets before.....how are the products price-wise? Is it pretty pricey or comparable to say....Trader Joe's on prices of items?
Thanks!

It's not cheap, but not anymore expensive than Bel-Air. They do have great sales, however, so if you pay attention you can drastically drop your bill. That said, I haven't ever gotten better service anywhere and when I lived close to the Pocket Nugget, I did 75% of my shopping there. I really liked their selection of products, too. They have a lot of organic choices, and they aren't squirreled off into one section, so you can actually compare the price with standard offerings. Made it very easy, for instance, to stock up on Annies mac & cheese when it was on sale. They have local fruits and vegetables whenever possible. I found that it was well worth the money, if you have the money.

I was there Thursday night, in the rain. Good selection of foods, lots of good looking produce, place wasn't crowded, so no trouble with lines. I'll have to watch the sale ads, some sale items were a good buy (asparagus $1.88/lb), but in general, seemed pretty pricey, I shop mostly at Winco. Curious to see what Fresh & Easy will be like as they will keep me from crossing the street when I go to Raley's.
