Our son is in SF doing his LYFT thing. It is surging like crazy.  All the street lights are out and are all 4 way stops at the present.

They also had outages in New York and LA. Don't know if they're connected or not.

NY, SF and LA all hit by power outages? Seems highly improbable that it is coincidental that several sub-stations happen to fail at the same time on different power grids.
