We got a second hand 911 call rpt'ing..... 'A single gunshot heard in the wetlands across from the school,' and two 10 yr. olds (who heard it from a friend of theirs) told an adult that they... 'saw a male subj with a bloody hand, carrying one tennis shoe, in the same area as the gunshot.' They said they saw the subject moving easterly thru the greenbelt (near the foot-bridge), and they lost sight of him.

After setting up a perimeter, we requested the school go to lock-down for safety reasons. We were able to find other folks in the same area, that were there for an extended time, who.... 'heard nothing, and didn't see anyone by that description or condition.' One of our guys then met up with the 'original kid who passed this whole thing on.' After talking directly to them, the incident was deemed unfounded, and the school was notified to let 'em loose.

It was a safety precaution for the children. (man, was it hot out there!!)

Hope this helps....

That kid (his parents) ought to pay for the erroneous call!
