Starring the one-of-a-kind collection of vintage toys, international folk art, antique dolls, Christmas ephemera, and art-infused artifacts of Professor of Design, Dolph Gotelli, the Museum of Wonder & Delight has slated its GRAND OPENING in Historic Folsom for Friday, September 11th with a ribbon cutting launch at 12:30 p.m.

In fact, you’ll need more than one day to take in the panoramic panoply of work Creative Director and Curator Dolph Gotelli has assembled. Which is why the Folsom Historical Society is hosting a THREE-DAY GRAND opening celebration of its newest delight running through the weekend:  Friday, September 11th, Saturday, September 12th, and Sunday, September 13th, 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

They have prepared an outdoor welcome for you that includes a puppet show, music, and refreshments.

The MUSEUM OF WONDER & DELIGHT is located at:
905 Leidesdorff Street | Suite 100 | Folsom, CA 95630

Bring the family!

Sounds interesting...  At least its not another bar or antique shop on Sutter.  Like we need more of those.

It is an antique shop; you just can't buy the antiques!

That's what I was thinking.  The number of antique shops has dwindled to the point that they seem to provide nice variety rather than dominating the district.

the bottom four on that list are home decor stores, not antiques.

I'm not a huge antique fan, but like to browse every now and then. I like old records and glassware in particular.

Anyway, 'old towns' seem to attract antique shops and those who patronize them.
