For concrete, I'd recommend Devon Grundy. Good local guy. Great reputation. http://www.grundyconcrete.com/

What did he do to your yard, if you don’t mind me asking? Also, what part of his work impressed you?
I was looking into contacting him, but he pissed off my neighbor so much, I decided not to.
I guess they had a misunderstanding or something.

The job was done on time for the cost specified, and no mess was left behind. That may not seem like much, but I've hired more than a handful of landscapers over the years that I will not call again because they couldn't even handle those basics. Oh, and he is a native english speaker which helps communicate exactly what you want and don't want. I really don't know what more I could have asked for or expected.
I've actually been pondering my backyard irrigation and think it might be time to give him another call.
I'm curious as to your neighbors experience...

Had Devon do our backyard last year. Put in retaining wall and sidewalk. Great job.

He cut all the sod out of our front yard, removed some shrubbery, tore out the crappy old irrigation system and installed a new system. He then rough leveled the yard. It was no easy task, as he had to cut through a lot of roots and dig out rocks while trenching. He always showed up when he said he would (for estimate and work)and was very easy to work with before, during and after the job. After I brought in 10 yards of good dirt, rolled it and sodded it, he came back and adjusted the sprinkler height and spray (no charge).

I've sent you a PM. No use going into details on a public board.
For any others that want information, please PM me.
