Folsom continues to win accolades from around the country.

Previously ranked among the best places in the country for employment, housing, safety, schools and even our bike trails, Folsom has been recognized by organizations such as Money Magazine, Wallstreet 24/7, and Wallethub.

The latest to sing Folsom's praises is Apartmentlist.com, a company that matches renters with communities based on details that matter to them.

For ranking purposes, they compared over 500 cities across the US, and rated them on Safety, Housing Affordability, Education Quality, and Child-friendliness.

Not only did Folsom receive a grade A, it was the highest ranking city in California and came in at number 17 nationwide.

With Folsom gaining notoriety for a great overall quality of life, it's no wonder that housing is in high demand and short supply, with both rental and purchase inventory near historic lows.

I wonder if some of us take this for granted.  It seems to come so naturally, but this is really the result of a lot of careful planning.  We are very fortunate to have great leadership,, whether we recognize it or not.  The natural setting helps a great deal, but the industry, housing, fire and police, business environment, schools...so glad to live here.

Knowing the past helps deciphering the future.

I agree. Folsom is a hidden gem. Well not so hidden anymore. We are growing and seem to be a recreational destination too for many up the hill and Sacramento. We are a great day trip. We love it here.
