I've about had it with Uverse as well. They keep giving me free promotions but then when I get my bill it looks like I'm paying for them. My bill this month was over $200. So I just bought Ooma, for the phone and now I'm working on getting us off of the tv end too. I have a PS3 and Netflix and Hulu and am going to get a Tivo for the DVR and remote capabilities and then I'll just have to pay for internet. You do need to have an HD antenna for the local channels, and you have to max your internet speed, but I think we will be able to cut our bill down to about $60/month after the initial purchases.

I received a mailer from ATT Uverse so I called them to see what they could
provide to me here in Folsom.

We live in the Prairie Oaks area and when they looked it up they
do not have Fiber Optics in our area yet so they can not hook us up
here. Asked him when they might have it here and he did not know.

If I do it and they can provide it, I want Cable TV, Modem for computer
and phone.

I live in Prairie Oaks and have had U-Verse for 2 years. Switched phone service to OOMA ~ 9 months ago. Saving $$$.

We live down the street from you and get AT&T. I would go with Direct TV though. The picture quality with AT&T is a downgrade from Direct TV. Plus, ATT customer service sucks! I never recieved me $200 visa reward cards they promised to switch to them. They decided to credit my account instead. I could go on and on...don't bother with them.
