Yes. I love going to bookstores. I don't buy as much as I used to since I prefer storing on my Kindle. But I do love bookstores.

Makes no sense...  Barnes and Nobles shut their door just up the street a few years ago.  What has changed that will allow one to survive now in a place that I suspect is much higher rent and has worse parking?

That was Borders that closed in the Broadstone center a few years ago.  I recall that our Borders in town was actually one of top-selling profitable stores in the entire chain.  Unfortunately, that's the problem with a chain in that everything has to go when the whole company is doing poorly.

The economy has improved. Apparently they were just waiting. The store will be near the fountain across from the jewelery store. I don't know which fountain or which jewelery store.

It will be interesting to see what they do with this new Barnes & Noble that makes it better than the one on Sunrise; the drive is pretty equidistant for us with much less stop-and-go to get to the Sunrise location. Currently, I make the drive to the Palladio/Costco side of Folsom about once a week and try to combine anything I need to do on that side of town for the same day -- not a fan of all the congestion.

Its about time, I hope this pans out, I would also love to see if the Off Saks store from the outlet relocate to some where bigger by the Palladio...

So.... I heard that Barnes & Nobles is coming to the Palladio. Although I see nothing official on "Folsom New business website" https://www.folsom.c...t/arrivals.asp. I heard this tidbit of info on the Folsom Watch Facebook page. This is per a friend of the leasing agent for the Palladio.

 

I hope it is next to Sports Authority or someplace with a huge parking lot nearby.

 

I hope the rumor is true. I miss having a big book store in town.

So not for sure but pretty sure....I was at the Palladio last night and noticed the spot where the rumor location of Barnes & Noble was supposed to be has some major work going on inside. From the size of the work going on, I would guess it is indeed Barnes & Noble ....So if there is anyone who knows anything let us know....Thanks
