Defense wins Championships. I don't see any way that Denver can pull this off. They struggled against the Chargers for goodness sake. Yes, #1 offense but I'm not impressed with the quality of AFC Defense at all so those numbers mean nothing.

Seattle on the other hand crunches people and they are very good at it. They also are stout enough to play an entire game and even seem to turn it up in the second half of games when the other teams are tired.

The weather should have no impact here, both teams play outside right?

Peyton has relied on getting rid of the ball quickly all year. If his receivers are covered he has zero mobility to elude the chase. And does Denver have a back up?

I see this as a very one sided game with the Seahawks winning easily 27-10.

Interesting points, my learned colleague.

Seattle will pound the ball with Lynch, and he's hard to stop. Their secondary is second to none.

There's a big however, however.

No defense can hold up well against a no-huddle approach. They will be sucking wind, cold wind, by the second quarter.

Denver wins 21-17.

As my alter ego Mr. T once said, "What do I predict? PAIN!"

While I want the Broncs, i think Seattle wins 24-17. I see Seattle taking back a Pick-6. I told Steve that was my lock of the Super Bowl.

Seattle wins. Don't know score, don't have my pool sheets with, but I'm pretty sure Seattle 21, Denver 7 puts me in the money. Hopefully that'll be the score for a quarter or two.

Seattle doesn't travel well. Very different team away from the Pacific Northwest. Denver but it's close.

Right. They were 6-2 on the road this year. Don't travel well? Care to expand on that?

My point is Seattle is a very different team on the road, still a very good team but not nearly as dominant as it is at home. 6-2 looks great on paper, but look closely to this past  season and recall two road games that Seattle ended up winning closely when they should have been an L.  In Houston and  that ill fated pass by Matt Schaub returned for a TD to send game into OT when Houston should have just run the ball and would have won or when St. Louis at home down by 5 with 1min. left in game and  had 1st and goal at the 4 and was running the ball so well and chose to throw on 1st down? (hmm recall the niners did that as well with same result)  I know I know  shoulda , coulda woulda,  Without that noisy, raucous, fan base to roar and cheer  them on, Seattle can be beaten and  will be on Sunday....well we can hope anyways.   At least the weather won't be much of a factor and we can see Peyton Manning dissect that defense.

17-13 Seattle

Payton will have a tough time throwing the ball in those conditions.  Defense wins championships with the Seahawks secondary getting a couple of takeaways when Manning tries to stretch them.

Lynch runs and runs.  Are these the worst conditions for a SB ever? I know there's been a rainy one and a cold one, but not both.

I predict (hope) Sherman blows out his knee and Carroll goes into cardiac arrest. Stanford graduates with a degree in communication must cringe when Sherman speaks. Carroll, and Reggie Bush, slithered away from USC only to profit elsewhere.

I predict Sherman is going to make a lot more people cry and whine (boo hoo) after he helps the Seahawks win today.

Go SeaHawks!

Pretty sad from the very first play.  Denver isn't in the game at all.

Seattle Defense is really playing a great game. Offense isn't

doing bad either.

Denver will need a miracle to come back from this one.

I agree, Camay.  I've been switching back and forth between this game and the Puppy Bowl on Animal Plant Channel most of the afternoon!!  Now it's 43-8 in the 4th.  Turn out the lights, the party's over.
