I got a flyer from Big O Tires today and went online to check them out.

They have been open about a month at their new location here in Folsom, CA.

185 Blue Ravine Road, Ste 150.

They are located in the shopping strip, near Mel's on the corner of

Blue Ravine and Folsom blvd.

For your information.

I have been going out of town to Big O so now I can go locally.

I always get my tires at Ok Tires.  Love them.

I always get my tires from whatever place is selling them the cheapest. One heads up on Big O is to make sure you check prices at more than one location. I wanted some special LT tires for my trailer earlier in the year and was just going to order online or from Big O which sells them. The Big O in EDH wanted $185 a tire. Was just going to order online at that point since it would be cheaper. Figuring all Big O's in the area were around the same price I almost didn't call the Cameron Park store. Called them and got a quote of $45 less a tire than what the EDH store was selling them for. I couldn't say order them for me fast enough.

I like to support local small businesses. I have traded at ok tire for years and they give me excellent customer service when I go in.

Personal auto care is my go-to for both car repair and for tires. Tony, the owner, retired from law enforcement and started fixing cars out of a detached garage on his property. His business grew and he eventually bought the tire shop that occupied the old Big O spot at Bidwell and Riley. The guy that owned that shop works for Tony now.

His reputation and business grew to the point that he ended up buying the building across the street for extra capacity.

I've been using his services now for about 10 years. He's always done me right.

I recently needed some scheduled service done. I called and was quoted $1100 and change. That sort of bill can make one shop around, so I called the dealer. They wanted, I believe, $1300+. I called a third shop, here in Folsom, and they wanted around $1500. I ended up back with Tony.

That reminds me. His counter guy told me to watch  my rear tires, as there wasn't much left of them. I better get to it.
