It will be on the news, but I wondered if anyone here had direct knowledge.

Interesting.....seems like we would have heard it.....or sirens or something......we live near there. Is this another hoax story?

Are we talking about a giant explosion designed to kill people a la Iraq... or are we talking about a little bottle rocket placed in a car by some bored teens...
Here in pleasant little Folsom... I'm guessing the latter.

"Car bombing" is a very inflammatory (no pun intended) term these days.
Are we talking about a giant explosion designed to kill people a la Iraq... or are we talking about a little bottle rocket placed in a car by some bored teens...
Here in pleasant little Folsom... I'm guessing the latter.
It was apparently in between. If someone was actually in the car at the time, they may have died if it went off next to them.
It was not firecrackers.

The victim appears to be of Indian or Middle Eastern descent.
The suspect is a young white male.
I only hope this isn't a racial thing.

I guess dark skin is enough.
Unfortunately, for some people, that is enough. I was saddened to hear of this news.
I find it strange that the description of the suspect sounds similar to the guy who had tried **TWICE** to kidnap the same girl on the 500 block of Blue Ravine Road just a few weeks ago. Hooded sweatshirt, white pants, 30'ish, etc. He was in a white van. I think it would help if we all look outside our windows and get to know our neighbors, watch out for our neighbors so we can put this jerk in jail.
Folsom needs to come together if we want it to continue to be a safe place for our neighbors and ourselves.

I guess dark skin is enough.
This is pathetic!
Maybe you should wait to see if the police catch the person and then see if they can determine a motive before you start with any comments. Even if you are right about the motive....your wrong for prejudging others...
If you want to end prejudice...then do your part by showing patience and allow the facts to come foreward.
Folsom will NOT sit by and do nothing if indeed one of its citizens has been targeted for violence simply because of the color of their skin!
