My first choice would be Biba. If you're looking for something more cozy/romantic, Slocum House is a good choice. Also, finally went to Bidwell Street Bistro last week and had the Muscovy Duck Confit -- wow!. That and the food the rest of my party had was exceptional and I'd definitely go back. Can't believe it took me so long to get there!
If they're open, Bidwell Street Bistro is pretty tasty.

Rio City Cafe on the river in Old Sac usually has GREAT holiday lunches too. A good place to take people from out of town too.

We ate at Scotts Seafood here in Folsom last Christmas eve. It was great! They were very busy. I had never eaten out on Christmas eve before.......I guess alot of people do.

We ended up coming home a little late from Clearlake on Christmas Day last year. We wanted to cook something quick and tasty, and decided to get some crabs from the Asian markets on Stockton. All were closed.
Tried the one by Sutterville and Land Park. Closed.
Ended going to Fortune House. I felt like that family from 'A Chritmas Story' (as seen above).
They didn't sing, though.

Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense.
