Late this past Saturday night i heard what seemed like a gunshot followed by a ricer car peeling out and then another gunshot a minute or two later. I live in California Hills (upper part) and I thought it was coming from Enclave direction but am not sure.

anyone else hear this? It was around 2:30am so technically it was Sunday morning of the 21st. it was enough to get me out of bed and check the doors and locks.

i checked the bee and nothing.

I didn't hear anything, but I sure hope it wasn't gunshots. It could have been an exhaust backfire from the ricer car. Many of these idiots have poorly installed aftermarket exhausts on their car. If there is an air leak anywhere in the exhaust system, they can have loud backfires on deceleration.

In any case, I wouldn't count on the news to report on it. I used to live over by the UCD Med Center and we heard gunfire almost every night. In the 2 years that we lived there, we never saw any reports on the news or in the paper about the gunfire we heard, which often sounded like actual shootouts.

Yes I absolutely heard it. We live in Prairie Oaks. It woke me up at 2:33 and I thought it sounded more like 4th of July firecrackers, lots of pops in rapid succession. Sounded like it was one street over, but maybe not if you heard it too.
