Is anyone else having trouble with their mail delivery? I am somewhat new to Folsom and find that there is something fishy up with receiving my mail. I've had expected packages disappear and someone has been intercepting my Blockbuster DVD mail. Thought I would check with others in the area...

Yes I've had similar problems. I've had expected mail never arrive, my Christmas packages put in someone else's box and I receive pieces of my neighbors' mail at least once every couple of weeks. It's pretty disheartening. I've thought of calling the post office to let them know that this is happening, but haven't had the time to do it. There is also a customer service email address on the USPS site that you can email complaints to. Good luck!

Say we lived at 999 Francis Street and a street over from us has the same 999 number but a different street name.
We get mail like that, from a different street but with the same number. They more than likely get some of ours too.
I know that it happens when a backup postman/woman is on because our regular postman always puts our mail in the box neatly stacked.
Maybe because we always give him a nice gift at Christmas....

That is HONOR, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it.

We've had problems since we moved to Empire Ranch. It used to be really bad, but it's gotten better. Now it only happens a couple times a month, versus every day.

Hello,
I just talked to Bill the postmaster today....As I said in an earlier post, different post about mail, that the mailroom has lost my mother's pension checks 5xs in 12 months. The State made her change addresses from a po box to our home address thinking it would solve the problem...Well, as soon as I complained today, the checks mysteriously were found...They have never been cashed, and have shown up a month later.....A friend of mine thinks someone is holding them and hoping that after a cetain amount of time they can cash them if no one complains of the loss....So, please call me at 355-8454 if you would like to go together to make a formal group complaint...I'm also going to document my recent complaint that happened this week. I would like as many people who have trouble to contact me...I will then make an appt. for all of us to meet with the postmaster to discuss the issues..You are not the only ones who have had issues...Everyday I speak to neighbors who get the wrong mail....Many times, it's not the post carriers, but temporary workers who are hired to help out that may be making the most mistakes...Our carrrier has been v. good, but his substitutes have lost more mail than I care to think about....However, it's the last straw when dealing with my mom's checks because we pay the nursing home on the first and if we don't get he checks they don't get paid...I cringe at the stress this has caused our family.....The postmaster instead of aplogizing told me to get direct deposit...I told him that wasn't the issue..It's funny how our bills our junk mail is never lost....BTW, ask for Lisa when u call.

There it is, there's no problem with the Postal Service, the PostMaster is advising to use direct deposit and not the mail! Does anyone else see something wrong with this picture. Maybe if they don't have all that annoying first class mail to deal with they can get the junk mail delivered on time!

I have had a PO box for years here in Folsom and I would say in the last year or so I get at least 1 piece of mail in my box that doesn't belong to me. It has a different box number on it. I always write the current date on it and "wrong box" and put it back in the mail drop. I've been missing a few pieces of mail and I think maybe it gets put in someone else's box by mistake but that person just tosses it rather than putting it back in the mail drop. That being said, the PO personnel is sure doing a sloppy job.

We've never had any real trouble with the mail for the past 23 years in Folsom until about a year or so ago. Our long-time mail delivery person retired and now we almost never see the same face twice delivering our mail.
We have one girl that is constantly talking on her earpiece phone while she delivers mail to the wrong houses. We neighbors are having to exchange incorrectly delivered mail on those days. Some days we have an older gentleman who seems to do a better job.
Even though our retired mailman probably wouldn't have passed the post office's requirements of so many steps per minute because he would stop to say hello or chat I'd trade him in a second for what we have now.
Makes you wonder what mail someone else is getting and not bothering to return.
