Where does one show up to see the offerings of this community garage sale? Any particular location? Where's a good starting place? Have out of town yard salers who are interested.

Thanks.

See the map Terry.

Just drive around the area marked blue to see the sales:

The gentleman who organizes it, Alan Sherman, gives out a checklist of all the homes listed for the sale and it also includes a map of where every house is. As of yesterday, there were 160 homes signed up for the sale. I am sure that signs will be posted on the surrounding streets.

So is the sale on the 17th and 18th?

What time does it start each day and end??

CT, I doubt you'll need a signup sheet. It's the biggest garage sale in Folsom and anyone driving around will stop at all the sales they see. There's usually so many a map is not needed.

As far as I am aware, it is only on Saturday. I am not sure of Sunday. I don't know if there is an official start time but I plan on being out there early. As John said, I am sure you won't be able to miss it.

It's our fault for missing the signup sheet. It came in the mail but was lost in the junk mails.

We live in the cul de sac so it was easy to miss, but we used our old garage sale sign to direct people in. It was a success. We sold an antique table and chairs for $40.0, but many people said they would pay for it at $100.00 or more. I just want it out of the garage!!!!

My wife and I drove around the sale area and we did purchase a couple of items. Other areas should do this same thing sometime during the year.

Did a permit have to be acquired to have a large sale like this?

Or is it one of the two that each home can have each year?

Okay, Broadstone residents - now go out there and round up the garage sale signs that you posted illegally............or did someone actually pay to get a permit?

I got Garage Sale'd out by driving past the dozens and dozens and dozens of sales on Saturday!

As far as the signage....I noticed that most were "planted" in the ground and not attached to any poles or street signs....perhaps that is how they got around the city ordinance?

Tarry, you are right the signs were still out there this morning. They should take them down.

Nope, you can't get around the sign ordinance by planting them in the ground. They're illegal anywhere except on the private property of the person holding the garage sale. So absolutely none of these signs should have been anywhere where I saw them. The City right-of-way includes all common areas, sidewalk and adjacent landscaping, etc. and these signs are illegal on City rights-of-way unless a permit for them is obtained.
