Whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America" for an amount "up to and including their life".
That is HONOR, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it.

Folsom City Council
A controversial proposal to build a 19-unit psychiatric housing complex near Folsom's historic district is scheduled for a council hearing Tuesday.
Mercy Housing and Transitional Living and Community Support seeks approval of a planned development on 1.25 acres at 809 Bidwell St. to serve low-income people with mental illnesses.
The applicants also have asked the city to contribute approximately $2.2 million to help fund the project.
The Planning Commission in January recommended denying the project following a packed hearing dominated by people opposing the development. Residents and business owners argued that the historic district has more than its fair share of low-income housing and the project should be placed elsewhere in the city.
A staff report accompanying the council agenda says that nine alternative sites were studied, but none met the project's needs.
A hearing also is scheduled on the environmental study for the Empire Ranch Road-Highway 50 interchange project.
The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the City Hall's council chambers, 50 Natoma St.
