Bathing Habits

Spouse and I shower and in the morning when we get up, and then again in the evening before we go to bed. We may even put an extra one in there if we work hard in the yard during the day or otherwise get dirty.
How about all of you out there in Folsom Forum land? We're just curious. We were surprised to find that a lot of our family members and friends shower only once a day and some even less than that.

My husband averages a morning shower and usually a bath or another shower at the end of each day. He LOVES hot water.

Showering multiple times a day is very tough on your skin and hair. With my dry skin, I totally notice it when I shower too frequently.

I shower every morning. Sometimes I take a bath at night, too. Rationally, I know that a daily shower is not necessary and may even be undesirable for your skin. In Europe, almost no one showers/bathes daily. --But, I just like a morning shower.
I have a different approach with the kids. Since I know a daily shower/bath is not necessary, I don't require it. They get a bath every 2-3 days, or whenever they start to look, er, less than lovely.
I think taking baths is a lost art in America. I guess everyone finds a shower just more efficient than a bath.

I do let my kids skip days, just depending on how dirty they get. During the summer, I love the pool. I just have the kids take a quick swim before bedtime...just as good as a bath in my opinion.

I shower every morning and on karate nights or nights that I exercise, I also shower. Other than that, just if I feel dirty for some reason- that mainly happens in the summer on hot, sticky or muggy days- it's nice to get cooled down before bed with a cold or cool shower.

we better hope the city council forks don't get wind of this survey or they will pass a shower ordnance. this is not a good time for excess showing because they still need water before they can turn the develpers loose on that south of 50 land.
