Are you looking for occasional? Regular?
My daughter is 19 and is coming home for the summer at the beginning of June. She is great with those ages. Not sure of her availability but I'll pass the inquiry on to her.

Same question...I've got three daughters and any might be interested. Is it a regular job or intermittant? Also...what is the pay? My daughters are high school (incoming senior) and two college girls.

I don't know what to pay... $7.00 an hr for two kids. Do your daughters drive? I can pick up too. It would be mainly evenings and occasional at that. I just would like to go out with my husband every now and again!

I would like to know what the going rate for occasional babysitters is, also. Due to some medical appointments for my son, I have relied on Kids Park a lot lately. It is a wonderful place, and my two other kids love spending time there, but it can get costly, around $14 an hour for two girls.
I have asked the few teenagers I know what the current babysitting hourly rate was, and the response was everything from "I don't babysit" to "Whatever you want", and then "$15 per hour". I want to pay a fair price, maybe even a bit generous, but $15 seems a bit steep.

i haven't heard of ANYTHING over 14.00 an hour and for that rate my house gets cleaned during the same period of time. I currently pay somebody 10 but I have been told that I am overpaying by about 4 bucks that's why I am offering 7 - i think 6 is too low for two.

Hi, this info is from my youngest who is a junior in high school and does a fair amount of babysitting. She says that $10 would be a minimum for 2 kids if one was not potty trained...and definitely would want to know if they are boys or girls as boys take a lot more work in terms of childcare...she used the expression "bouncing off the walls". :-)
Hope this helps. Our experience as young parents was that we couldn't afford to pay alot...and so we went for younger girls and tried to pay them more than they expected. But...we had three girls who were pretty easy to watch. Good luck. I'm THANKFUL we don't have to figure out babysitting anymore...it's TOUGH!!

Thanks for the information. $10 an hour seems fair. My two daughters who have needed babysitting in the past couple of weeks are very easy and calm. They are definitely potty-trained, since they are six- and nine-years old. Now, if we add my son into the mix, I would pay more, since he is an active 1st grader, who is known to "bounce off the walls".

yeah gender and age does come a lot into effect. the amount of kids has a lot to do to it. i am great with kids, and my going rate for one child is minimum wage (less then Mickyd's), two is .50cents added to minimum, and three is 10.00. and depending on how easy the job is the house could be sparkling clean. AND i cook!!! i always clean up after my self and work great with kids.
FYI i am very out going.
I have been in the Boy scouts program for almost 11 years now, and i am a life scout
I am a Lifeguard (2 years experience) (Which means that i am CPR/first response Certified)
Preschool Teacher's Aid (3 years expirience) (i go by Mr. Mike)
AND i have THREE (3) sisters UNDER the age of SEVEN (6.5 years Expirience)
AND to top it all off i am striving to be a teacher!!!
My name is Mike Tooker
