Okay, I'm sure I'm going crazy here...but has anybody else seen Rod Stewart or a wannabe RS around Folsom? I was at Taqueria Mexicana yesterday and thought I saw him in there...just came in and got something and left. Weird. My friend called his dad to ask about it and he thought he'd heard of other RS sightings. So...anybody else?

It wasn't Roddie, but there's a guy in town that sure looks like him. In fact, I just saw him in one of those mailer-type advertisements recently for a salon here in Folsom. I'm sorry I can't remember his name. I've met him once. Really nice guy. Hope he stays Forever Young.

Cool...thanks for setting me straight. It was pretty funny because the guy I was having lunch with didn't know who Rod Stewart was-- I had to start singing songs. Ahhhh,...I must be getting really old.

Too funny, I have seen him too, a couple of times. He just looks a lot like him.

Jim Morrison smoked Pot in the desert, others drank Peyote, but for our friend Roddy all it takes is a good taco for inspiration to come-a-knockin'

Yep- I've seen him around too.......seems as though I remember him as being too tall to be "the real" Rod Stewart though.

My wife and I had a conversation about him - she was at a group dinner at QBole and he entered the room and everyone grew silent, soon started whispering among the crowd. He really is a spitting image!

Just to be sure you should ask him, "Do ya think I"m sexy?"

I wonder how much he's spent on plastic surgery to maintain his resemblance?

Hi Gang,
The Folsom Rod Stewart is actually Rollin Newell, a 20 year plus Folsom resident. He's a great friend of ours and just a super nice guy (ask him about his garden, it's amazing). He's had no work done, and if you were to look at pictures of him in his youth, he hasn't changed one bit. I think it's Rod Stewart who looks like Rollin, not the other way around. He also drive a mini-cooper, so if you think you saw Rod Stewart driving a mini, it was Rollin.

Thanks, Folsomgal. I wasn't even close with the name. It was bugging me I couldn't remember. I met him at a home show a while back and he was a really nice person. Wish I had his car, too.
