For the past year there is some jerk with an off-road vehicle that
I guess doesn't get out much, so he drives his truck across people's
lawns - especially on Randle, Willow Creek, around Briggs Ranch Rd. and in that
little park off Porto.

He makes sure to skid the tires to rip up the grass.
I noticed he ran over the luminaria candles this last
Christmas. He also backed up into a neighbor's fence,
destroying the fence. Any clues to his identity?
Let the police know.

I know one person put spike strips in his lawn . . . lmaosmiley.gif

Get his license plate number, or take a picture and contact FPD about it.

(if you do ice pick the tires, make sure you get the side wall where the tire can not be plugged or repaired) angry.gif

Wow- I hope the police catch that guy. That is just wrong. Plain wrong. I wonder what people are thinking when they do something like that.

A couple of years ago, some punk drove over the bags of leaves I had put out for the Neighborhood clean-up.
I would rather be Backpacking

Somebody needs to set up a video camera on motion sensor. You can catch the dogs pooping on your lawn too.

Dang... I did that back in 1963 when I was 17 with a buddy of mine... he was driving a 1952 Chevy and saw the biggest most awesome pile of leaves and.... well.. I mean it like stood 3 or 4 feet tall... being young dumb and full of you know... he just went for it... I didn't encourage him... but I was laughing...

The outcome...?

Well... he and I were Air Force Brats where our fathers were staitioned....Warner Robbins Air Force Base, Ga (Warner Robbins by the way won the little league championship this year)... Warner Robbins AFB is a mix use type of base... Combination Sac Base and a Depot like McClellan used to be...

To make a long story short...this "incident" occured on base and this pile of leaves had a lot of water in it because of recent rains.... so....? he just went over and on top... stuck... because...? his rear wheels came off of the ground and we were going now where... in front of some Full Bird Col's house...

The Col came out.. asked who the hell we were... and well.. let's say it wasn't pretty for me or my buddy when we got home...especially for my buddy... apparently his dad knew the Col and since his dad was like only a Major at the time.. well rank couldn't help him... He didn't know my dad.. but that didn't matter.. our parents both got a nice call from the Col...

Bottom line... I would recommend against running over leaves.. especially after a period of rain...

Especially if you are an Air Force brat living on base... they could kick you off base housing for something even innocent like that... we would never have done the destructive stuff of going on some one's lawn though...and doing that tread thing...

Kids have changed though... don't you think...?

this happened to our neighbor about 10 years ago - every night after 10pm this jeep would drive through his lawn every night, he put some fake (but heavy) rocks out in his lawn as decoration one night after dark... the whole neighborhood heard the jeep bottom out on the rock, and the next morning - a tell tale line of oil (from a busted oil pan) was seen extending from the rock and out into the street...

needless to say, the jeep never came back wink.gif

Bill Z:
I agree with you (and great story BTW)... Not to be morbid, some years ago I read a newspaper article about a father who ran over a pile of leaves in front of his own home (as I think he was parking his truck). What he didn't know at the time was that his own child had been playing in the leaves and was hiding. Unfortunately, this story did not have a happy ending and is listed on SNOPES website as "TRUE."

I don't run over leaves... You just don't know what is under it.

Not that this is realated to Folsom at all, but one of my friends who did roadway construction work was on a job. Every day after school, some kids would drive by and knock down the lane delineators between the road and the workers. One day, the workers decided to drive some sections of rebar into the asphalt and put the delineators on top of them. That problem pretty much solved itself that day!

Living in the foothills a while ago we had a similar issue with baseball practice on mailboxes. Kids would smash mailboxes from their posts angry.gif

We fixed that after a few methods failed. Put the original mailbox inside of a new larger mailbox then filled the gap around it with concrete specool.gif Few days later neighbor near the mailboxes heard a nice THUDDDDDD and cursing wacko.gif blink.gif summerteeth.gif Problem seemed to go away immediately after that.
