I'm curious to see what others think of the nearby restaurants.

I've eaten at Rubios and like their fish tacos. I thought the price was reasonable and the quality was good. Pik up Sticks was good but very overpriced! The food was fresh but there are lots of other places to go instead. It's a Grind is really comfortable and great service! The prices are a little high but I think the service, atmosphere, and free internet service make up for that.

One night my husband and I were wanting to try Rice Express because I saw that a lot of people here recommend it. We were mislead by the name because we figured it was more of a fast food place. We will definately try it but that night we wanted something quick and ended up at Taco Bell. The Taco Bell is really good and they don't skimp on the amount they give you. Some Taco Bells barely give you a taco that's filled up but this one does. Del Taco is good but the drive through is soooooo slow!Mimi's Cafe is good and so is Black Angus. Oh, and Marble Slab was good! I prefer them to Cold Stone.

What other places have you eaten at? Has anyone tried that burger place? I think it's Pot Belly...

Red Robin is good. I worked there as a youngling. Ate at the Folsom one a few times. Good food.

Pot Belly Deli is great with both their burgers and their sandwiches!

Sorry, didn't catch that you only wanted to hear about those near Broadstone Plaza. I have only eaten at Macaroni Grill and Mimi's. MG is good food but WAY TOO expensive. Yikes. Mimi's is okay food and okay prices.

What are the price ranges at Gigi's for lunch and dinner?

We haven't ate at MG yet but we will. It's good to know they are pricey for the food. I've heard it's similar to Olive Garden but a much louder atmosphere.

We tried Pot Belly and were not thrilled about their burgers and fries. Paid $15 for 2 burgers and fries and it was average. Fries were not crisp and burgers were bland. I think Carls Jr. 6 dollar or 4 dollar burger is way better. In-and-Out will be a great addition

Gigi's is good, but way over-priced. I have to admit that their desserts are definitely awesome.

Macaroni Grill has great atmosphere and some of their seafood/fish plates are really good.

Mimi's is good.

Del Taco franchise went way downhill since the SoCal days of the 80's

Taco Bell by Ralph's is one of the worst TB's I've been to, but still one of my favorite fast foods and definitely good enough to go.

Roma's and Roundtable are great local pizzas.

Rubio's has great fish tacos and food all together. Burrito's are a little pinner compared to other fresh mex places but actually are perfect size. Price is also very good.

I never liked Quiznos.

We tried Marble slab and think it's a joke. 9 bucks for 2 single scoop cones??? It wasn't even good to boot. I think I would have been happier with a Thrifty triple scoop for 1/10 the price.

Likewise for It's a Grind. We paid like 10 bones for 2 coffees. Ridiculous! We like Java City in Bel Aire.

We like Rice Express over at Ralph's but for dine-in only. Some of our take out from them has been pretty bad, but dine-in experience has been awesome. Pick up sticks has some good dishes also. Have only walked into that Asia place and turned around and walked out.

I think Mimi's is very reasonable. We (family of four) eat dinner there for about $40.00 including tip. Granted, my hubby and I rarely order big ticket items (mostly sandwiches or pasta). Food's pretty good, too!

As far as Macaroni Grill... we have eaten there three times and have been disappointed every time. Service is inconsistent and food is just alright.

Anyone know what the prices are like at Staurt Andersons (aka Black Angus). What about the food and service?

Haven't been to Gigi's yet. Need a babysitter (doesn't look like a kind of place I want to take the kids). Anyone want to watch my kids so my hubby and I can enjoy a good and peaceful meal????? tongue.gif

Mimi's is great. If you like Grilled Cheese sandwichs try their "5 kinds of cheese" grilled cheese sandwich.

They are great....

Wow, this is great info! Rock, thanks for the details. It is very helpful. I do agree Marble Slab is expensive. When we went there we had a 2/1 coupon which helped.

At Mimi's their spice muffin is really good! I got it with my breakfast. I like their soup too.

NRB, we went to Black Angus only once. The service was excellent! The food was good. We ordered the filet and it was good. I've never been happy with the prime rib there. I've always preferred Cattleman's to Black Angus. Black Angus doesn't impress me much. We went there since we had a gift card.

I don't recall what the prices are for Black Angus. I think they are $15 and up but I'm not positive. We had a coupon for two meals, appetizer, dessert for $34 or $36 I believe.

Hey Erika,

I have provided the link to the muffin recipe you liked. My wife has made both that and the carrot bread and they turned out really good.

When we were last at It's a Grind we saw a sign that a pita place was going in next to it. I would believe they would offer sandwiches on pita bread. I'm not sure when it will open but hopefully it will be good and not overpriced.
