I just tried T2 Yan, which took over the spot that was Golden Lake.

I must say it was pretty good.

They changed the decor, bringing in bamboo posts and dividers, and have a hand painted mural of a bamboo grove on one wall. There's a bar in there, too. I don't remember the old place having one.

Owner, I believe his name is Tu, was friendly and helpful, suggesting the Salt and Pepper Fish. It was awesome! Lightly fried and tossed with sliced jalapenos.

The chow mein it came with was as chow meiny as any other, but the fish was great. It also came with won ton soup, egg roll and what looked like fried wonton stripps.

I'll definitely try it again.

Okay, so I've been back a couple more times. Great food.

My wife loves Chinese, but hates the ones that are too heavy on the oil, or the ones with gloopy gloppy sauces.

Everything at T2 seems fresh and clean. Service is good. Nice decor. Great food. Decent prices. Gotta love it.

Try them out!

My wife and I were considering stopping in there today. We were there at Officewhatever and thought soup sounded good. We ended up skipping it in order to deliver some work to a friend.

Kind of wish I had gone now, I could have an additional report to file here. Maybe tomorrow! (today)

We'll have to give it a try, too. Then again, we like Sunny Garden, which is the closest Chinese restaurant to us, and we never go there. So I'm not sure what good it does us to find another decent place! laugh.gif

T2 Yan is a friendly place. Tunnis, the owner of T2 Yan seems to be quite genuine.
Try their Crab or Lobster with Ginger & Scallions. I had Sautéed Ong Choi with Garlic a few times (off the menu). YUMMY!.
Ong Choi is a popular vegetarian dish for Asians. Bon Appetit!

T2 Yan has my support. We stopped in earlier in the week, and the food & service were incredible. Large portions, but that just meant we brought some home for later. It's got very different decor than I'm used to, but it really fits well.

Our server was very fun too.

Welcome to Folsom T2 Yan!

Mmm.. just went there for lunch, had some Kung Pao chicken, which was very tasty. Reasonably priced, nice service, good looking place. Two thumbs up.
