My cat was yelling MEOOOOOOWWWWWWW!!! So I asked if chris hurt the kitty, and he said no, then went to see what she was yelling about.
When he got to the kitchen he saw that she wanted to show him something....
This was her surprise!!

She brought the bird into the house still alive and then kept playing with it, so I picked it up and threw it outside. She eventually killed it.

Our cats prefer lizards and snakes... Bringing it in the house to you is like a present in Cat-ese, the ultimate gift. It does seem weird that cats kill without eating, but so goes the Animal Kingdom...
But you know that bird lovers are gong to pitch a fit here... (you're just waiting for it aren't you... bored today? heh-heh)

Here goes, what if I had posted pictures someone or something killing a cat, and then said, 'the cat wasn't dead when he brought him in, so I threw it outside, and she eventually killed it'?
Why is it okay, cute, funny or otherwise acceptable for a cat to kill a bird? I certainly wouldn't photograph it, much less share the photos with the public.
A guy was recently busted for doing the same thing, only using neighborhood cats as death-toys for his pit-bull.
Me like birds.

It is nature... We did not set the bird up... we did not MAKE the cat do it... as a matter of fact the cat has a dang BELL on her neck!! haa!
I think it is cool.
And someONE killing a cat is not the same as a kitty killing a bird steve.
It would be a whole different story if I had wounded the bird, or somehow MADE the cat do it, but I didn't, NATURE did this. And like I said, I think it is cool and no different then the nature channel.

Animal Channel?
Every been to the zoo?

my cat brings a dead mouse or bird to our front porch at least once a month - he's a very good mouser and I like that he's helping keep the rodent population down.

Seems like poor taste to me, but whatever. Cats do kill birds from time to time. I suppose if a coyote comes into the neighborhood and catches a cat, we should just take pictures while the coyote kills the cat, eh?
