Another great day in the adventure of exploration and sight.

My wife and I call it the "throw your crap in the street day"... or "Heaven for the homeless" ![]() |
We are far from "homeless', which sounded like a slur against an unfortunate but real segment of the population.
And the "crap" to some is a creative challenge to see what can be repaired or recycled into something useful to others. Plus some of the "crap" is not crap at all.

Just so everyone knows, if you have anything other than just "trash" to get rid of there's a group of FreeCyclers in the area that love the stuff.

I'm amazed how quickly even "junk" seems to get picked up off this list
Personally, I love trash day, I find all sorts of great treasures people don't want (hence why I'm on the freecyclers list to begin with).

This is very common on these pickups- just tell others to leave it in the street and they will be back to get it- Likely this Saturday. The lumber and yard wastes were the last things picked up in other locations.
I saw this in both Natomas Station and in prairie oaks on their last scheduled dates.
I also saw a number of people that had not put up for the scheduled pick up put stuff of similar nature as that that was not picked up since they knew it would be gone in a week.
I also know a few that either put it back in thier yard and didnt get it picked up as they thought is wasnt going to happen.
the program has gotten so popular that they do not have enough resources on a single weekend to cleanse a single Zone, but they do get it all.
