Sorry Spicy-- I guess you and I don't agree on decent coffee--but if there's any consolation--I've never been a great food critic.

Afterall-your talking to someone who routinely eats microwaved bean and cheese burritos with mustard for lunch!!

It seems a bit unfair to establish a scale of 1 to 5 and then give negative ratings...

Is that why you rate them a 5, cause you eat for free? In that case, then Costco gets a 5 also.

Merely my preferences on some places for Coffee/Pastries/Breads/Donuts/Bagels...
We each have our own preferences.

Great harvest has amazing breads but I used to go there every morning. HOWEVER, only buy the regular drip coffee. When I ordered a latte 2 times it came to me without any coffee in it. imagine my suprise when I got down the road and had a cup of steamed milk!! The second time it happened I caught it tho and they laughed and I laughed and it was no biggy.

I had to stop going there when I realized the bread pudding and pumpkin bars were making my jeans shrink. =(

By the way- on a slightly thread hijacking note, I have been informed by employees of Raley's BelAir that their JavaCity is switching to Peets coffee with the new year. Bad news for Java fans, good news for Peet's fans.

Thank you for the info.
I hope Raley's/BelAir don't increase the price again soon. Right now at Raley's/BelAir, a small size cup of coffee costs $1.40. It used to be $1.15. Most coffee places charge $1.65 to $1.75 for a small cup of coffee.

Bon Appétit!
