Anyone know if it's structures or the fields? I can see the helicopters dumping water from my window - but can't tell if it's on a house or not.

Is the smoke really black?

No - it's gray. I don't think it's a house - I think it's *next* to or right behind that big Adams Family looking house on Rockport at the top of the loop

Cool pics, especially the helicopter water drop. I saw it on my way home with my son, we detoured into lexington hills to get a better look and an idea where it actually was, we stopped at the kids park that is like a fort, then turned around and headed home.

I know your comment was meant in the best possible way, and my sarcasm meter isn't working too well since you added the smiley face at the end of your post.

But you know that complimenting the camera and not the photographer is a really big insult to people who take photography seriously?
(I've got to assume tracknut does since he's done some post-processing and added a watermark to his photos)
So um... "Good composition and great job catching the feel of the moment!"

And yes, I make my income from photography, so as it happens I do have a good camera.
