I personally like to support local businesses but there's always a value point.

the owners are incredibly kind, nice and I wish them all success.

for me, i still prefer In N Out as the best quick burger around.

I spent $14 for lunch for two and was not that all impressed with Burger Hut. The fries were incredibly hot though which is amazing becuase most eateries don't know how to serve hot, fresh fries.

Here's my Burger score:
Izzy's on SLT Blvd - super awesome burgers, fries and rings!
In N Out - the best quick burger you can buy (i like mine as Double Double, grilled onions, ketchup instead of spread, extra pickles, protein style.)
Bidwell St Bistro - best sit down burger and fries - excellent, high quality beef, perfectly cooked and always fresh hot slender fries.
Costco fresh ground beef for making your own on the grill. Cooked medium this will be possibly the best burger you can make at home, ever!

mmmmm burgers....great post, but dang it, now I'm ready for lunch and it's still several hours away biggrin.gif

I would argue that Folsom Bistro has taken this title.

a little more description will help me Mylo. expand. i'm listening.

personally i live a quest to find and eat the best burger. most places can't pull it off.

what's really nice about Bidwell St Bistro:

slightly grilled red onion, perfectly toasted fresh bun, incredibly moist beef that tastes like beef, fresh crisp cold lettuce and tomatoes, and they don't bury the damn thing in mayo which is gross to eat anyway. they even chill their ketchup so you get hot fries and COLD ketchup. perfection in my eyes/mouth.

I agree, the bistro does have a pretty good burger

hey this quest of yours brings up an idea...... we did the sushi tasting event a while back... maybe we should start a burger tasting event - to go in search of Folsom's best burger

i'm in but lets make it bigger, our region.

i've squeezed at the inn and they have a good burger. niche burger but good.

i've wasted plenty o time at chillis, red robin, islands and the usual haunts.

let's do this right and find the best burger our there!

i could use a reason to hit Izzy's in South Lake before the snow comes. mmmmmmm.

What's really nice about Folsom Bistro:

Perfectly grilled and juicy Kobe beef on a toasted fresh foccacia-style bun, crisp and flavorful butter lettuce, fresh tomatoes, topped with a zesty grilled onion confit. Alongside crisp pommes frites, a beet salad, and a glass of cab sauv, absolute perfection.

List $11.95, but specials often bring to the $9 range.

Beet salad $6.95, I usually split for two.

I can't speak to the burger at Folsom Bistro, but they were the best fries I have EVER had!

My issue with burgers is when they ruin them by cooking them too much. I like a nice fat, pink center.

me too - I always order mine medium rare - I can't stand over cooked burgers, it makes them taste like cardboard
