Restaurant.com is offering $25 gift certificates to Bailie's (and a number of other Sacramento, sorry no other Folsom) eats.

Occasionally they have coupon's that bring the price down, but even every day they're $12.50. I've purchased them as low as $3 for a $25 coupon

The catch, you can only use 1 a month, and I don't think they apply it to alcohol sales. Other than that there's no day/time restrictions or anything

I suggest you check them out and if you haven't tried Bailie's yet maybe this will be a little incentive smile.gif

For the record, I don't work for either of these guys, but I do enjoy popping down to Bailie's for an appetizer and a glass of wine. The food could use a little improvement for the price, but the service has been consistently good.

Mylo, yes I have also purchased certificates to Bailie's in the past and have been there a couple of times. Very good meals.

I love Bailies. Vince, the owner, just sold it to a couple who own, I believe, a bagel and coffee joint in Placerville. I am told they intend to keep the same staff and have no immediate plans for major menu changes.

My wife loves the Prickly Pear martini, and I am partial to the Cloud 9 (Grey Goose vodka, with blue cheese stuffed olives).

Great Asian skirt steak, mushroom toast, caesar salad, and wine list.

Vince also owns My Brother Vinny's on Sutter Street (formerly Lanza's).

Now I'm upset... These $25 gift certificates used to be up for auction via eBay (posted/sold there by restaurant.com). They'd start at a buck or two and you could almost ALWAYS get them for less than $10.

Then, a few weeks ago, I saw that they were being sold on eBay at a flat rate of (I think) about $8. Now I see that they've raised that flat rate to $12.50. Why not just sell a "$12.50 off coupon". Why play the game of selling a $25 gift certificate but never charge more than $12.50 for it?

Oh well..... I guess saving $12.50 is a good thing in the end.... but DANG! banghead.gif

I got my certificates off of e-bay...

I think I paid $12.00 for a $25.00 certificate.
