My Mom was visiting from Arizona. We went into the store on Friday afternoon to see if they could fix her necklace. They said they may be able to get to it on Friday and if they couldn't we could pick it up on Saturday. We explained that my Mom was visiting from AZ and that she was leaving on Sunday or Monday. No problem they said. We leave the chain and we never heard back that day so we went by on Saturday at 11:45. There was a note on the door that said they will open at noon. (They were supposed to open 1-2 hours prior) We hung around until 12:20. They never opened. We went back on Sunday still closed. My Mom was upset as she was planning on returning to Arizona on Monday morning. She called three times and no return phone call! I called on Monday and no answer. Today is Wed. and we never heard back. I just called and the owner answered explaining that they were on vacation. I was upset that that we were never told about the vacation, nor was there a note on the door. He said that his son was the one working the day that we dropped of the necklace. We never were told about a vacation and would have understood if they would have at least left a note on the door mentioning their vacation. We drove there all weekend and never received a phone call when they got back. The owner was rude and will not mail the necklace back to my Mom in AZ. In addition, he never apologized for the inconvenience! I am a 39 year old woman and his words were, "You come in and pick up the necklace and mail it back to your MOMMY" I do not appreciate his attitude and I feel that I should not have to go back there for a 4th time. Most importantly they never apologized! This company is not professional and they do not deserve to be working with jewelry! Thanks for listening!

An update.. The owner finally apoligized to my Mom, not me, and mailed the necklace back. Maybe its because I posted here as my Mom got an email requesting that I remove my posting. Its funny because I mentioned to him that I was going to post our discussion and he said that he didnt care. I guess he changed his mind...

You're not kidding... this place has the worst service and reputation in the area. I have attempted one repair and one purchase to no avail. I have heard many, many similar stories. How are they still in business? Their repeat business must be nil. Pop your head in there and see for yourself, the arrogant attitude is disconcerting. Certainly there are a half a dozen or so super nice pieces, but a boutique it is not. I’m not sure where the “greater than thou” façade comes from.

I would not do business there.

Certainly part of the "Masque" crowd... perhaps they will go the way of Masque sooner than later.

So who do we have in EDH or Folsom that's good? I have several pair of vintage earrings that I'd like to have converted from clip-on to pierced, but have no idea where to take them.
A friend of mine used to own a jewelry store, but since he closed up shop, I don't know where to go. Who does good work that I can trust with my valuables?

Rogers Jewelers on East Bidwell in Folsom is excellent. Top notch customer service. I went in a month ago to get a new battery installed in my TAG watch. They replaced it while I waited and then they refused to accept any payment. It was free of charge. Amazing.

+1

I went in to have a Nixon watch's battery replaced (which they don't sell), and they didn't do it free of charge but they did clean the other jewelry that I was wearing while I waited! Very excellent customer service
