As a new resident of old town, I was wondering what kind of turn out of trick or treaters there is. Anyone have an estimate?

That will depend a lot on where you live. In the subdivisions we have lots of kids for about an hour or two then just the stragglers, mainly teens.

In historic district? I can't imagine there will be tons of kids trick or treating there. But there are residents on the boards so you can probably get a better idea from people who live closer to downtown.

When we lived there, it was very low. We were one of the few on our street to decorate and barely any kids came by. sad.gif

I'm talking maybe two dozen kids.

Your reponse actually provides a good indicator. How many houses in your neighborhood have decorated for Halloween will be a good indicator of what kind of turnout you can expect.

In Briggs Ranch, we typically get 100 to 150, my wife has one of those clicky counters, so we count how many each year (that means my range above isn't a guess, it's from measured data). At 9 PM, I usually shut down the candy giving, turn off the decoration lights, kill the music, and take my jack'o'lanterns in so they don't become roadkill.
I would rather be Backpacking

Mylo went to all that trouble shoving razor blades into apples and then no one showed up...

There's a lot of homes that are decorated this year. Maybe there's some new blood since Mylo left.

I hope so. We went to the Trick'or'Treat on Sutter and there was good turnout there. Hopefully some kids bringing some life around town on the actual night...

We are deciding where to go. How is Placerville's trick or treat downtown?
