I hope they get caught. I do have one question. The article mentions that this happened around 4:00pm and that the cards were used w/in the hour. Yet the pics in the article have a timestamp around 6:00 that day.... Are we looking for the right people?

Good detective work there.
There are quite a few possibilities. This could quite easily be one of the "other stores" and they didn't say when those happened, just that the first was within the hour.

If you look beyond the 3 suspects...there are red carts visible in the background.
My guess is this picture was taken as they exited Target. The article mentions the
group used the credit cards at other local stores. The 83 year old victim is for
obvious reasons...not in the photographs.

"Within the hour, the pair used the Victim's credit card at a retail store in Folsom and were attempting to use other credit cards at other stores."
That definately is Target in the video images, so I'm guessing that is what they're referring to when they said a "retail store in Folsom"......... The timestamp would agree with that as well. As for the date discrepancy.....remember the old VCRs? How many people do you know who could never figure out how to make it stop blinking "12:00:00".....

One would assume that the distracted woman would be the one walking next to the (younger) suspect:

Aka, the woman on the right. She doesn't look 83 to me.

The article mentions "Suspect #1 is described as a female Hispanic, 20-25 years old, medium height and medium build. She has long brown hair that was pulled back in a pony tail. She was seen wearing a black shirt with a white logo and was in the company of another female".......

ah, ding ding ding. We have a winner. Reading comprehension=A
That is indeed what the article stated that there were 2 women
and a man as suspects/accomplices. Thus the photo to top off the
article showing 2 women and a man! Amazing ain't it.

always help tell the story.

Exactly. That's where the article explains the photos. The article did not state that
the victim was photographed. It stated there were 2 hispanic female suspects and
a male hispanic suspect. Thus the photos went with the printed story. One could not assume that the distracted woman is the one next to the other female in the picture if one had read the story with the photo.
