Come to Borders on East Bidwell 1-3pm this Saturday 7/11/09. If you're a knitter, bring your knitting and join the others. Lorna Miser will be there signing her book "Faith, Hope, Love, Knitting", showing the projects from the book and talking about the stories from the book.

Hey Lorna, good luck with your appearance. I just wanted to say again that your stuff looks so cool and fuzzy!

Good luck with the appearance. I enjoyed thumbing through your book at Old Europe some time ago.

I am looking forward to meeting other knitters at the signing.

I too have heard the rumors of a yarn shop...hmmmm, all the money I save on gas from driving to shops in Fair Oaks and Roseville I could spend on yarn!!

See you Saturday!

My mustang is being painted PURPLE this week! I probably won't drive it to Borders because I have a big display to bring with me. But you'll be seeing me in my newly PURPLE mustang a lot!

Lorna Miser Puts Together Faith Hope, Love, Knitting at Borders Books

It was a good afternoon. Thanks to Folsom Borders for supporting local authors.
A second video now added, with all the knitters.

After you view the videos, please rate them at youtube - adding a rating and a comment really helps a video get more readers. No ratings and no comments = worthless video.

Well, Lorna, tell us how it went!

You have certainly done a remarkable job at marketing, and the video shows how personal and integrated this project is with your life. Wishing you all the best.
I saw your marketing materials there in the store, and you've done a great
job of advertising - something I need to learn, as I just wrote a book too,
and I can learn from you, ha, ha!

Yesterday's signing was well-attended and a lot of fun. Knitters are some of the friendliest people I've met and they proved it again yesterday. They were all willing to share their knowledge and ideas. Good luck w/your book Lorna -it's a keeper - beautiful pictures, good patterns, and interesting stories.

Uncle Vinny - I'll have to check out your book too. It's a subject I've always been interested in from reading Bridey Murphy as a child to Elisabeth Kubler-Ross and many others. It's something that most people - even with the assurance of their religions - are afraid of yet we all will experience it eventually.

I didn't mean to hijack this thread - if someone knows how to take Uncle Vinny's and my comments and put them in a new thread that might be appropriate.

Thanks.
