I was wondering if anyone knows approx how many trick-o-treaters they get in Empire Ranch? This will be the first Halloween in the neighborhood. pumpkin.gif pumpkin.gif pumpkin.gif

Wow, that doesn't seem like that many. I'm thinking we will get a lot since the houses are close to each other....well, so are all the houses in Folsom...ok, most. I wish I could still go out. I loved the free candy! tongue.gif

things have changed since we were kids. I live in Prairie Oaks and that's about the same.

When I was a kid (I'm 30 now), I could stay out as late as I wanted and go for miles trick-or-treating. However nowadays, parents are concerned about strangers, kidnapping, etc... so the kids we usually see are usually from our neighborhood. So many other (safer) alternatives such as Halloween parties, trick or treat at the zoo are gaining popularity.

Anyway, Halloween will never die, but it does appear to mutate in to new traditions. pumpkin.gif pumpkin.gif

Well, Folsom is a family town... things die down pretty quick between 8-9pm and our first trick o treaters come around 5-6pm.

Most kids hit their own neighborhoods and that's it...

You must have been one of those greedy trick a treaters.... biggrin.gif

Free candy!!! Hey, when I was younger I chased an ice cream truck for free gum. I'm gonna load up my kids (when I have some) on caffine and drag them all over town for Halloween. biggrin.gif Then I will take half the candy when they're sleeping! Or maybe I'll just go to the store and buy the 1/2 off candy.
