I'm looking to add art deco plaster crown molding to my bedroom. Does anyone know of local companies who are good at this?

Thanks!

We used Steve and know about 8 others (everyone very happy with him)- great guy, outstanding work, great reputation. I was also very comfortable having him in my home, if that makes a difference to you.

I did the crownmoulding myself for my home. Steve's portfolio shows he knows how to tackle the tough unusual angles of vaulted ceilings. He's absolutely right about paying close attention to actual angles (no house is perfectly square on every corner, in fact, my experience is the perfect 90 degree corner is rare.) If you have the time, patience, and right tools, crown moulding can be a DIY project. I know where the flaws are in the job I did, fortunately, the worst one is hidden by a curtain. I can imagine, if I had hired Steve, he would have done a better job and probably been done in 1/4 the time it took me. I could tell I got better as I got more experience under my belt.

And now I own a pretty good mitre saw and am a regular user of my nailgun from the crown moulding project.
I would rather be Backpacking

We also used Steve. Great work and a really nice guy. I ended up hanging around all day and chatting with him while he worked.

While I haven't used Steve Menez, I've met him and he's a heck of a nice guy. I've heard nothing but great things about his work.

I think he must be used to that cause he works right through it - though everyone likes to chat with him. He is an old school craftsman who takes a lot of pride in his work and is a perfectionist. He does the really high end homes as well as the standard and seems to truly care about all his projects.
