I just noticed a $14.95 charge on my credit card. After numerous calls and online research, it happens that I visited the restaurant.com website. I purchased a couple of their discounted coupons. That basically gave this new company "Shopessplus" authorization to charge me membership??? This was without knowledge or consent.

They "shoppesplus" have promised me a refund, BUT we will see. In the meantime, I wanted to make some myfolsom.com members aware of this.

here is a thread that I found online on this as well.

Forget the refund, you will never see it and they will charge you again next month. Dispute the charge on your CC....! Do not pay it. This has happened to me several times from a variety of shady companies. I even had my CC tell me not to dispute but ask for a refund from the company. You must tell them now way and that you want to open a file to dispute the charge right now...! Also tell them this company is not allowed to charge to your card, ever...! Also, file a complaint with the CA state better business bureau and the the Feds online. This really gets their attention. If you can't find the sites let me know and I'll dig them up when I get time. Chris

I have never had a problem with VistaPrint- did you call them and get it fixed ?

Another great  day in the adventure of exploration and sight.

I've purchased coupons from Restaurant.com before and haven't had seen any membership charges in addition to the cost of the coupons. I'm not sure if this is why, but I first started using Restaurants.com, I think it was a benefit of purchasing an Entertainment Book. I don't have a current book, though, and have purchased coupons recently without that additional charge.

Perfect timing for this topic. I just found a charge on my card for a discount program (which I've never actually had access to) Apparently when I ordered some flowers online 2 months ago, they authorized this company to sign me up and begin charging my card $14.95/month. It was easy to cancel, but still so frustrating that they can get away with it! So a warning to the wise - stay away from Proflowers.com

Interesting. Check out this Rip Off Report: http://www.ripoffrep...-Scam-4D4BD.htm

By the way, I never use national flower services. I always locate a mom and pop shop in the area in which I am sending flowers and use their services.

Yep.......they were putting an $18 fee on our card every month after we made an order. We just cancelled our card and got a new one.
