Over the past few months, it seems there has been an increase of crime in Folsom, perpetrated by outsiders. Why do you think that is?

We prefer our crack dealers to be Folsom natives.

Can we seize Mr. Nash's house and sell it to help our general fund?

Yes, but it'd probably be a short sale and the city would have to come up with some additional $$ for the bank wink.gif

Newsblaze, don't you think that's a rather sensationalistic headline? Without any further evidence, you cite the case of a guy making crack at a residence in Folsom as proof that 'outsiders bring crime to Folsom?'

I don't want criminals committing crimes in Folsom, whether they be locals or outsiders, and assuming that by 'outsider', you mean someone who does not live here, I can tell you that we depend on outsiders to support our city by opening businesses here, coming here for tourism, education, entertainment, and spending money in our shops and restaurants.

I ran into the owner of a Folsom business last night in Roseville. I discovered that although he opened his business here, he lives in Roseville. He's an outsider.

We do need to be vigilant about crime, and we do want our city to be safe, but we don't have to fear outsiders.

It wasn't mean to sensationalize it - check out the front page of MyFolsom. There have been a lot of crimes recently and almost all of them have been people from outside of Folsom. I don't fear outsiders, I'm asking the question, why are outside criminals coming here to do their thing? What do you want me to say? Lets pretend they are all Folsom people because we don't want to upset anyone? Maybe I shouldn't report these, then everyone would think there isn't a problem? By the way, my friends at the Shanei rug store in Sutter street were robbed by outsiders too.

a half pound of rock cocaine? that's a lot! so if this guy lived in Sacramento, what connection did he have to the house in Folsom? did someone he knows live there and are they charged with conspiracy? did he rent it? was it empty and he just set up shop there?
