I saw a sign being hung in the Safeway shopping center on Prairie City. Anyone know anything about it? Looks like there may be one on L St. in Sac too.

No idea, but I loves me some salad.

Actually, now that I think about it, I've been to Big Salad in Auburn. I remember being a little disappointed, not because of the food, but because of the atmosphere. It was more of a take out place, than a sit down and relax place. I think I just wasn't in the mood for the type of place it was at that time. I wouldn't hesitate to go back though, now that I know what to expect.

I had talked to Tasty Time and I think they said it was going to be soup, wraps, salads, and sandwiches, something like that. It's going in where Togo's was. It should do well - we don't have anything really like it! smile.gif

Not much has done well in that center. Baja Fresh, Goodfellas, etc.

Kirala's been there a good while. Panda Express too. With the HS and Intel so close, seems like a quickie sandwich/salad shop will do well. I'm assuming the landlords are different that from across the street where Express Gourmet and Goodfellas had their problems.

As long as they don't serve as much wilted produce and blah dressings as the Sacramento site does...

They need to improve their produce...

Hopefully the new shop will be better, we'll see, I'll try it.

I stopped by the Big Salad shop today around 12:30 and they were doing pretty good business. They have been open almost 2 weeks I was told. I ran into two friends whom were eating and they said the sadwiches were very good and fresh. With each specialty sandwitch you get a choice of soup or salad. You get a whole sandwich and a side for what most places charge for 1/2 sandwich and a cup of soup... not bad. There were several folks from Intel eating there, some eating salads some eating wraps which looked very good... give them a try. I like the fact that they make your salad for you, not some self serve stuff that has people sneezing and little kids touching everything...
