Want something a little different?
Try the Karma Cafe on Sutter St. The decor is an eclectic mix of artwork, mismatched antique and imported furniture, lots of cushions, and different seating areas.
It is a comfortable and laid back, friendly place featuring dozens of teas and coffees, pastries, sandwiches, salads, soups etc.
I've been there several times recently, and each time, the people were super friendly and made recommendations on what to try.
I was talking to the owner the other night and told him I'd recently had some soup there. He told me, "I don't know what it is. Maybe it's a gift, but I am just good at making soup!"
His friends were there playing jazz, and my wife and I grabbed a comfy couch, a pot of rose tea and some hot chocolate, and just hung out for an hour or so.
This is a wonderful place. Check it out.
