I'd rather see another Mexican restaurant in town than a vacant, boarded up bldg. Glad to see something is moving into that space.

Or the other question... "how many Mexican restaurants does Folsom have now?"

Well, one of our employees told us that Qbole closed.

I think the one in Gold River just shut down.

Hmm- I think they had consolidated with the one that shut down over at birdcage mall- maybe they are moving the whole thing to this new location in Folsom....

If that is the case, good riddance. They had the worst service at that place. Food was pretty good, service sucked! I have never actually felt as though not leaving a tip was appropriate ( I am a former server ) but one of our trips to this place was enough to make me do it and never come back.

Ouch! We went there as a family after it first opened. It wasn't that busy and they sat us next to a table doing tequila shots. Weird! We didn't like it enough to go again.

Hate to burst your bubble, but Q'bole is still in business. I called this morning and got a very pleasant answer to my call.
Another myfolsom rumor bites the dust.

Another myfolsom rumor bites the dust.
She didn't say it was a rumor. She heard it from an employee. Oh well, we will see.

Yeah..I have never actually been told that it looked like we were trying to be "cheap" by having our three kids share two kids meals (for the record, they were 7, 6 and 4). When our waiter looked at me and said that, I went through the freaking roof.
Another myfolsom rumor bites the dust.
Oh, please. Wasn't exactly a "bubble". All I said was good riddance, not "yaay, I am so excited that I am dancing on air".

That is outrageous! We've done all kinds of combinations depending on the kids' ages and what/how much the kids want to eat: 2 kids share a meal; a kid shares with an adult; kids get some combination of soups/side orders, etc. etc. (We all know kids are picky, and one of mine is a vegetarian).
Also, if I'm not that hungry or know the portions are large, sometimes I choose to split a meal (or meal plus appetizer) with my companion.
The customer gets to choose what they want to buy and the server has no right to make any comment on it.
I hate the attitude that the customer has to conform to some expectation of the restauranteur in terms of ordering. It's very prevalent in Europe and we should not allow it to take hold here!
