Hi everyone -
I have some sad news to report. Jolene just called me from UCDavis medical center - her daughter Jessica is currently in a medically-induced coma; she was kicked in the head by a horse and fractured her skull.
Any prayers or thoughts are appreciated. Her cell phone is dead but those of you who know her can reach her at UC Davis Medical Center.

Please continue those thoughts and prayers! I was able to be in a little contact with her via email today. Got another update tonight from another friend of ours.

Jolene,
I am so sorry and scared to hear this news. I will be thinking of your daughter. Please, please ask your friends on myfolsom if you need anything-- dogs walked, groceries, rides somewhere, etc. I will be happy to do anything I can and I know others will, as well.

I will be going to the hospital tomorrow morning, was unable to tonight. I will send along everyone's well wishes and will also see what she and her family may need. Please contact me if you'd like.

I've been praying all day since I heard the news. It just really hits home how life can change in an instant. Yesterday afternoon I was "talking" to Jolene on FB to get her Chicken Tortilla Soup Recipe and just hours later she's in PICU with Jessica in a coma. Life is short people, cherish every moment you have with your family and friends. Please hug your babies a little tighter tonight and say a prayer for Jolene and her entire family.

Thanks John for letting the community know of this tragedy! I will certainly keep Jolene, Jessica and the rest of her family in my prayers. While I don't know almost all of you on this board I am grateful for this site.
