they must know by now. seems like they got panned on a regular basis at their other location. I really really want them to succeed. this may be a case for Chef Ramsey!

I don't think Ramsey can fix owner attitude, although he sure does try....
I've enjoyed the food at BSB at their old location and look forward to trying out the new place, but I've got a big pet peeve with bad service and avoid places with bad service like the plague... life's too short to put up with poor service

well, it has to be more comfortable than the old place. their tables and chairs were stiff and uncomfortable. hopefully they saved some of the old Lanza's booths. We'll try them again. Have to encourage the small business owners, especially on Sutter Street these days.

Went to Sutter Street Grill for lunch...mmm good. Went there last week and had the burrito scramble and fruit cup from their $4.95 "before 9am breakfast specials". It was also very good. Service friendly, prompt and professional. Oh and got a few chocolates at Snook's too

Fully agree, and I do plan to give them a try someday soon. Like I said before I always had a good meal at their old place, the service wasn't spectacular but hopefully that will be improving.
I'm hooked on Sutter Street Grill for breakfast, its the only place we go out for breakfast these days, its always really good and the portions are so big my wife and I usually end up sharing a dish.

I still love Goldminer, but lately have been digging on Waffle Barn.

I love the omelettes at Lake Forest Cafe. and I love that it comes with whole wheat toast and a ton of fresh fruit and that the honey is in little pots from Clouds.
thread officially re-routed (sorry!)

Really? I actually think I generally get pretty good service. Wrong orders seems to be consistent at places with little quality control (usually from the top-down). Food poisoning is mostly just from Chili's. You'll never see me in that place ever again!

I've been to SSG dozens of times and (knock on wood) have never received a wrong order there, and the food I've had has always been very good quality.... that's why I keep going back. Can't say the same for Gold Miners, the quality there has gone downhill lately (for some reason) - it used to be the only place I went, but I found SSG to be much better by comparison.
Didn't you say you also got food poisoning at Sudwerks and one other place in town (besides Chili's)?

Oh yeah, I got hair in my beer (and got told off for it by the bartender) and got food poisoning twice (from one visit) at Sudwerk. That place just sucks

How do you get food poisoning twice from one visit?
Did you take your vomit to a laband after analysis-find out if had two separate bacterias in it?
Ok- really-on to more serious stuff- I love waffle barn. Love the owner. I always go before 7am. Her black coffee is always piping hot. Not a drop of superficialiality in her coffee mugs.
