don't forget to purchase your tickets for the Pasta Feed and Silent Auction in support of Jessica! You can read more about Jessica's story and purchase your tickets at http://www.vivalajessica.com
John is putting together a couple of MyFolsom tables - if you would like to be seated at one of these tables please email me at vivalajessica@ymail.com after you have made your purchase and I will seat you there. How fun is that - you can support a little girl and meet some of your favorite (and not so favorite) MyFolsomites! I'll supply the nametags and we can all "wear" our MyFolsom handles!

If we don't sell enough tickets soon to cover costs we may need to rethink things! I'd hate to do this, Jessica needs our help so much! Please help me get the word out about this event and lets sell this thing out!

I'm coming with 3 others. Will buy tickets online. Is it reserved seating or can we sit together easily? Can we bring a 1 year old? If so do we need a ticket for her?

Hey C -GREAT ! So glad you are coming. No the 1 year old doesn't need a ticket. It is not reserved seating unless you purchase a whole table. I think you'll have no problem getting a seat together, especially if you come early which you'll want to do so the 1 year old can see the horses!!!!
So happy you are coming! Yea!!!! And thank you again for your donation!

I just wanted to express my admiration for your willingness to take this on! This is extremely generous for you to be doing this and these gestures are what make Folsom such a wonderful place to live n work.
Unfortunately times are very difficult for many in the community. Things are far worse than what many might realize or admit too.
I wish you all the best and will keep Jessica in my prayers.

Just purchased two tickets.
Don't despair. Some people may not know yet what their schedule will be for the end of September. Others may be on vacation. Others may not want to incur a bill until they have to and are waiting for the deadline. Just keep "bumping" the message.
At this point I don't know for sure if we'll absolutely be able to attend, but I wanted to "help the cause" in any event.
Once school starts, I'm sure Jessica's school community will rally as well (if they are informed about the event). I don't know which school she attends in Orangevale, but if it is anything like the school my husband teaches at in Orangevale, the school community is very strong, caring, helpful and generous.

And that is my only point of negativity in this whole situation.
I wouldn't hold my breath.
Jessica had "only" been at her school for a year and a half. They've been fairly absent. Barb has said she'll advertise there, but I will be completely shocked if we sell more than five or six tickets there.
(Reason #1 we want to move back to Folsom.)
We could not be doing this without you.
Much love and gratitude.

Robert: I totally get what you are saying and am finding that out as I am out there asking for donations! But on the flip side, Jessica's experience has really touched people and you wouldn't believe how many people have offered to help in ways I could never even have imagined!
Steve: a reserved table is $280 and includes reserved seating for 8, dinner and a bottle of wine. There are still seats available at the MyFolsom tables as well!
Mikat: thanks so much - very appreciative! I know it's still 2 months out, but as we don't have a pot of money to draw from, I dont' want to get too far in before we decide whether it's a go or not. We've got some non-refundable deposits that we'll need to put down pretty soon and I'd rather no do that unless I have sold a significant number of tickets. So thankful for your encouraging words and the school angle is a GREAT one!

Jolene,
I'm so sorry to hear of your negative experience at Jessica's school. I sure hope it isn't the one where my husband teaches. I doubt it is since I haven't heard anything about Jessica through the staff there, and if she was one of their students, the community would be a-buzz about it. (Could you pm me with the name of the school? We have some contacts at one of the other Orangevale Elementary schools as well.)
