Did you know that Folsom hosted the California Fireman's Association for their conference in 1934? I have a photo of it with the fire station on Sutter Street all dolled up in bunting! Pretty cool.
Folsom has a long history of fire fighting, going back to the volunteer firemen in the 1850s, the old hook and ladder.

Knowing the past helps deciphering the future.

I checked out the California Firemans Muster Website to check on entrance price. Nothing there.
Really funny though-all the trash talking between the competitors. Though it is all goodnatured!
About ten years ago an old army firetruck was brought into a bay and the operators asked me to fix one of their "generators"
It was nothing more than a tiny little water pump/carbureator the size of my palm.
it would be cool to see a bunch of old fire trucks and stuff.I saw a water pumper on a railroad track-one time. pretty cool. Dont remember where I saw that, though..
