I was a huge fan of this show since I was 12 or so and saw Lifetime reruns for years. I think this is actually one of the shows that got me most interested in the past or just stuff about human behavior. The reenactments were so good and realistic (almost big budget movielike), you almost would forget some of the old cases weren't actually happening in the 40s. The earlier seasons were best since it was darker and better produced, like from 1988 to '93 or so.

I liked most of the classifications, but the missing persons and police investigation ones tended to be my faves. I was kinda iffy on the UFO and ghost stories, although I liked them at times too. Robert Stack was a great host, it's a shame he passed away in '03. sad.gif

Here's a few of my favorite cases that are most interesting (and still unsolved):

"Angela Hammond" - a young woman is kidnapped in a little Missouri town while talking on the phone with her boyfriend. Especially heartwrenching, because of how narrowly the guy got away after her bf pursused the truck:

"Roger Dean" - in 1985 a man is shot to death outside his house near Denver by an intruder. 5 years later the same man contacts his wife and daughter demanding money. This one is confusing because of all the inconsistancies, and that Dean may have been involved in activities his family wasn't aware of:

"Sarah Powell" - in 1993 a 14 year old girl is home alone when burglars vandalize the house, tying her up. She has amnesia afterwards and police aren't sure if she was making it up or not:
