Hey everyone, we are starting to plan Fallfest 2010 & Night of 1000 Pumpkins. What would you like to see on Sutter Street?

If you do the pumpkin thing again:

1) More pumpkins. The way it went last year, because it was 3 blocks long and on both sides of the street, it felt like a small number of pumpkins.

2) Elevate them. Putting them on the ground requires one to squat or bend to see what they really look like. That gets old quick.

3) Better lights in them, and don't light them until the evening. By checking them in and dropping a light in while it was still daylight ensured that many of them would be burned out by night fall.

4) Consider grouping them. Maybe put all of the candidates for each category together.

That's all I've got.

I had a great time at the event last year and have to agree with Steve, those are the best suggestions for improvements. Especially to consider grouping them and putting the candidates for each category together.

I think all the shops on sutter street should be dressed up for halloween, make the whole thing a big street long haunted house. Well, that is until the party goes show up on sutter street. But I like having more pumpkins!

I want a widely advertised ScareCrow Contest!!!!! I want to enter one myself! Then line the street with the entries. That would be very fun!

I'm going to miss it! My father-in-law will be, I think, 85 that weekend, and his health isn't what it used to be, so we're heading up to Clearlake to visit and celebrate his birthday.

Make it a great festival, I'll catch the next one!
