Today restaurant.com is running a super deal - 80% off - that means you get a $25 restaurant certificate for only $2 !

There are a lot of local Folsom restaurants listed on this site - check it out www.restaurant.com

To get the 80% off deal, enter the promo code "BIG" at checkout and hit apply.

Heads up Restaurant.com patrons. I think the jig is up. The outstanding deals may be coming to an end. Sol Azteca, which I have used a Restaurant.com gift certificate in the past is no longer accepting them. These gift certificates can still be purchased online, but are completely worthless. Buyer beware...another local restaurant that is on Restuarant.com is Manderes. Not sure if they are still honoring the gift certificates, but Restaurant.com is still more than happy to sell them to you for a few bucks.

This problem is with Sol Azteca for poor customer service and refusing to honor their own certificates, it's not a problem with restaurant.com

For those restaurants that suddenly change their mind and no longer accept their own certificates (or have gone out of business) - just contact customer support at restaurant.com and give them the certificate numbers for those places no longer honoring their own certs and they will refund your money - its easy to do.

Manderes still accepts those certificates as do dozens of other places in and around town.

Just found out Straw Hat Pizza isn't accepting them anymore. The manager said they've been trying to get Restaurant.com to remove them from their site for several months now. Since we had purchased ours back in July, when they were still accepting them, they honored the coupon. The website will refund your money pretty easily though.

No worries...you can buy these certs. dirt cheap. $1 for $25 cert. They are 80-90% off sales on them all the time. No wonder they don't take them anymore. I actually felt kinda guilty using it...O.K. that went away.
