I play it during the day while I'm working and doing web design, I like mostly mellow jazz stuff that's not too disruptive (no vocals) while I'm working and my current favorite station is Chris Botti, also have one for Miles Davis and a custom Smooth Jazz station.
For rock, my all time favorite is Incubus and Dave Matthews
Another fav that I setup is Chicago Blues - really good stuff!

And if I'm working/concentrating on something, I need to have foreign language or instrumental music only, otherwise I get to distracted by the lyrics.

Listening to some Don Ellis jazz right now.I really like Pandora - great little app for listening to music, discovering new bands.

I much prefer Grooveshark - you can choose almost any song you can imagine and listen to it on demand. And make playlists.

Son introduced me to it .. GS is cool because it will play specific albums, artists and songs. Pandora plays similar artists/songs which is also good if you want to discover other artists. I like both.

Quality of playback is hit or miss on GS, but a nice app if you want to hear a song right away. Too bad they dont have an iPhone app (unjailbroken).
Pandora rocks. Current stations "Colin Hay", "Well Wishers" and "Long Beach Dub Allstars"

I'll have to give Grooveshark a try. I just found that they have an Android app. That might just fill in the gap that the other two don't cover for those times I want to listen to a specific album. So many great albums have such a mood and flow to them that the songs are 100x better when listened to in context and in order. New albums rarely have that anymore. The songs are often so disjointed and don't flow from one to the next very well. I guess they just expect that people will pick and choose songs and listen to everything in shuffle mode. Yet another way the digital age is killing good music.

I take that back! Grooveshark released in app store today! GS FTW!!
So what do I have to search under to find the app? I looked for grooveshark and nothing came up.
