I really like Pandora - great little app for listening to music, discovering new bands.
any favorite stations you guys like to share? I have been enjoying Gorillaz radio lately.

side note...
every time I think of Pandora I think of Avatar now... "You are not in Kansas anymore. You are on PanDOra!"

We LOOOOOVE Pandora. Even with the once in awhile commercials. My favorite stations are Killers and 80s (which I have customized into a station that plays lots of Depeche Mode, Erasure, Flock of Seagulls, etc.).

I listen to it all the time. Primarily to a Pink Floyd based station lately.

Loooove Pandora!

I play it during the day while I'm working and doing web design, I like mostly mellow jazz stuff that's not too disruptive (no vocals) while I'm working and my current favorite station is Chris Botti, also have one for Miles Davis and a custom Smooth Jazz station.

For rock, my all time favorite is Incubus and Dave Matthews

Another fav that I setup is Chicago Blues - really good stuff!

I've got 43 stations on my iPhone. I end up using the QuickMix the most. It's amusing to me to have a lyrical bossanova song be followed by an aggressive thrash metal song, but since it's soooo varied, I have to hit skip a lot when I'm not in the right mood.

And if I'm working/concentrating on something, I need to have foreign language or instrumental music only, otherwise I get to distracted by the lyrics.

Pandora, 100%, changed the way I listen to music. I use it all day, everyday. I have been listening to my Aggrolites station a lot lately. It's a very good reggae/rocksteady station. No hippy, pot smoking, praise jah, reggae either

I much prefer Grooveshark - you can choose almost any song you can imagine and listen to it on demand. And make playlists.

Son introduced me to it .. GS is cool because it will play specific albums, artists and songs. Pandora plays similar artists/songs which is also good if you want to discover other artists. I like both.

Quality of playback is hit or miss on GS, but a nice app if you want to hear a song right away. Too bad they dont have an iPhone app (unjailbroken).

Pandora rocks. Current stations "Colin Hay", "Well Wishers" and "Long Beach Dub Allstars"

I love Pandora! I had never heard of it prior to getting my Droid. I use Pandora when I'm in a specific mood and want to listen to a certain type of artist (the "Jackie Greene" station is playing right now). I use Slacker when I want an entire genre, and not just a specific type of artist in that genre (was listening to the "Old School Rap" station yesterday).

I'll have to give Grooveshark a try. I just found that they have an Android app. That might just fill in the gap that the other two don't cover for those times I want to listen to a specific album. So many great albums have such a mood and flow to them that the songs are 100x better when listened to in context and in order. New albums rarely have that anymore. The songs are often so disjointed and don't flow from one to the next very well. I guess they just expect that people will pick and choose songs and listen to everything in shuffle mode. Yet another way the digital age is killing good music.

I like Pandora. We listen to it in the car on trips and just around town. My husband listens to it while he is working. It's cool how you can tell it whether you like the songs or not.
